It is said that to truly understand Tae Kwon Do,one must never lose sight of the basics.These are the fundamental building blocks upon which everything else rests.Hence the title of the blog.During the course of my posts here,I will be jumping up and down the Tae Kwon Do timeline basically trying to figure it all out!WHo knows,I may actually learn something!

- My name is Billy O'Brien.I first started Tae Kwon Do in late 1980 in the Togher School of TKD in Cork,Ireland.I was promoted to 1st Dan by Master Hee Il Cho on June 11th 1984.I left in 1985 to join the Army and only recently have I returned to training under my original instructor Mr. Jim O'Sullivan 6th Dan in the Rivers Edge TKD club in Cork.Tae Kwon!
